To support basic science, translational and clinical research through a competitive grants programme that advances medical knowledge in the pathogenesis and treatment of both haemophilia A and B.

To support academic and professional development.

WAVE 2 AWARD AREA OF RESEARCH FOCUS

Optimising care for patients with haemophilia, including but not limited to:

· Prophylaxis schedules/Individualised prophylaxis
· Pharmacokinetics of factor IX
· Laboratory measurement
· Joint assessment
· Patient-reported outcomes
· Cost of care

AVAILABLE AWARDS

Project grants will be awarded up to a maximum of €60,000 each.

WAVE 2 APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS

Selection of research proposals will be performed by an independent, external expert panel composed of established academic clinicians. Wave 2 application is open to investigators from the following countries:

Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine

  • Application Deadline: 31st August 2017
  • Award Announcement: October 2017
  • Project Start Date: July 2018
  • Project Duration: ≤18 months

Project grants will be awarded up to a maximum of €60,000 each.
